Agustin De Fex

Agustin De Fex

Completions Engineer

Prior to joining Greenlake Energy, Mr. De Fex was hired by Schlumberger to work as Field Stimulation Engineer in Longview, TX, which was one of the largest frac. districts in the world. At SLB, he was able to grow professionally and personally, with assignments in LVX for almost 2 years, 5 years in Colombia, 2 years in Brazil, and finally in Midland, TX. Mr. De Fex was exposed to multiple challenges that required different approaches technically, logistically, resources and economic conditions, through different roles as field engineer, sales, and country manager. Then, after more than 9 years at Schlumberger, he was invited to join Parsley Energy as a frac. superintendent in October of 2014.

Here a new incredible story developed, by joining a small team on a pure vertical development program, to a full horizontal program with up to 17 rigs in 18 months. Mr. De Fex was able to enjoy the growth of the company in parallel with his own professional growth from superintendent, to engineering roles, until finally becoming senior completions’ manager after nearly 6.5 years. During this time, the program experienced a quick learning curve that led us to be a part of one of the most successful teams in the industry with an excellent safety record, high note performances and efficiencies, and a competitive budget that rivaled at the top of the Permian Basin.

After a quick period of transitioning, Mr. De Fex started working for Greenlake Energy, in late August of 2021, as Completions Engineer for the company. He has been enjoying every minute of it, being a part of something that has enormous potential, with high quality people, and great objectives for the company and the industry.

Mr. De Fex earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of South Florida.
